A free public VIN decoder that identifies the exact Harley-Davidson model, year and specification from a 17-character VIN. Built because customers regularly walked into the dealership knowing nothing about their bike beyond the registration plate, and staff had no fast way to find the right parts without that detail.

The decoder feeds directly into the parts search and fitment lookup, so once a VIN is identified the user can move straight to the compatible parts. Built on its own domain as a marketing asset: a free tool people would actually use, gated by an optional email capture that turns curious visitors into a contactable audience.

A staff-only version runs in parallel, IP-whitelisted to the dealership network with extra fields and admin functions. Same engine underneath, different surface for different audiences. Structured data and SEO were built in from the start so the public version ranks for VIN decode searches.
